What makes us unique?
Most fibroid treatments are performed in a hospital or an academic institution.
Dr. Zhang is able to bring the highest academic expertise and skills to a boutique concierge
outpatient environment. This ensures patients safety and satisfaction, quick access to experts for appointments, especially in a post
COVID-19 Pandemic.
Our Background
Our goal is to focus on patient needs.
Every year, close to 300,000 hysterectomies are performed to treat fibroids; however, many hysterectomies are considered medically unnecessary. In the U.S., over 20 percent of women believe a hysterectomy is the only way to treat their fibroid symptoms.
Today, we work hard to provide a personalized experience for all patients. We want you to have everything you need to make the best decision for you. This is why Dr. Zhang will meet with you to answer questions, discuss options, and create a specialized treatment plan tailored to your individual needs.
What We Do
We provide the best in non-surgical fibroid treatment using Uterine Fibroid Embolization (UFE). UFE is an FDA-approved treatment recommended by American College of Gynecology as a first line treatment. In our outpatient fibroid centers, UFE allows our patients to return home the same day 2 hours after the procedure and resume their daily activities between two to seven days following treatment.
During this simple almost painless treatment, the doctor will insert a tiny needle into the blood vessels in the upper thigh. The doctor will then guide a millimetre thin catheter to the arteries supplying blood to the fibroid. Then, small particles will be injected through the catheter and block blood flow to the fibroid, causing it to shrivel and die. After this 30 min procedure, we will observe your rest for 2 hours before you going back to your home to finish your recovery. Our providers are on call 24/7 after the procedure, if you have questions or concerns.
